Advocates Urge Lawmakers to Invest in America

Tuesday, July 10, 2007

On July 10, local advocates in Illinois and New Jersey called on Reps. Ron Kirk and Jim Saxton, respectively, to support the pending Labor-HHS-Education spending bill, which includes badly needed investment in child care, Head Start and other vital services. The events were part of a weeklong series of activities ECAP is organizing in the run-up to an expected July 17 vote on the spending bill in the U.S. House of Representatives.
